What is this?: Just a sports (mainly hockey) blog typed up by a high school senior of the female gender.
Why ‘Punch in the Face?’: It’s a phrase I tend to use a lot. (Though I’ve never actually acted upon it.)
Who I root for: Baltimore Orioles (since forever), Washington Capitals (since ‘08-’09 season), and Washington Redskins(since 7th grade when I started watching football).
All Washington teams except for baseball because: There was no baseball team in the District when I played T-ball: they were still called the Montreal Expos. Thankyouverymuch.
Other various sports that I love and you might see on here: Lacrosse. Field not box. Hops is the way to go. Hated the ‘Cuse team since 7th grade because this kid liked them. Since warmed up a little only because of Gary Gait and the Powell brothers. Monsters. Tennis. Just because. That Wimbledon Final with Roddick and Federer was crazy. Whoever says the Williams sister underachieve is a douche. If they played tennis 24/7/365(6), they’d probably burn out sooner. College football. Yeah, I’m one of the Tebow lovers. Sue me. Didn’t know how big he was until after I started watching college ball this year. And WOO! Go Terps! Occasionally soccer. Brandi Chastain, Mia Hamm, and Kristine Lilly were my heroes. The US Nat’l Men’s team did more for soccer in the states at the Confed Cup than David Beckham has. Extreme sports. You know; motocross, skateboarding, snowboarding, BMX. All that good stuff. Travis Pastrana and Bucky Lasek are my favorites.
Homer: For anyone from Maryland besides Mark Teixeira, whom I want to punch in the face.
