Growning up in Maryland to parents who aren’t super fanatic sports fans, I never watched/cared about hockey. Started watching high school hockey in freshman year, and started watching NHL in the ‘08-’09 season. Chose the Caps because they’re the team for the DMV area. Turns out they’re actually a good team. My first game was actually a playoff game. Game 2 of the first round against the Rangers. As for our AHL boys, my first Hershey Bears game was actually a playoff game, too. Game 4 of the Calder Cup Finals against Manitoba.
