After last year’s tournament, Jordan Schroeder held the record for most assists for the United States at the World Junior Championship with 15. In last night’s 6-2 quarterfinal win over Finland, he broke another record.
With three helpers on the night, Schroeder broke Jeremy Roenick’s record for USA’s all-time career WJC points leader. Schroeder now has 6-20-26 in three World Junior appearances, while Roenick had 13-12-25 in two appearances. Schroeder is now third on the all-time WJC career assists list, passing Eric Lindros’ 19.
Let’s hope he can keep it going in today’s semifinal matchup with Sweden.
